I can’t tell you how fun this job is. There is always something new, some new challenge or new situation, or some new camera face to overcome. Of course, I have been taking picture since I was a wee girl in junior high when I took my first photography class. We had a darkroom in the closet and it was great fun. I have not stopped learning since.
I have been shooting portraits professionally since 1999. I was inspired to go into business after organizing my grandmother’s vast family photo collection together with my grandmother and my daughter. We gathered and labeled and laughed and cried. So many family stories were told in the process. I want to contribute to your family stories.
I am always pushing myself to stay fresh. I earned an Associate of Arts in Professional Photography from Mt. Hood Community College in 2011. Currently I am a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (Oregon chapter) and Professional Photographers of America.
Taking portraits is fun, but there is more to life. Besides photography, I love the earth, growing vegetables and eating whole foods. My first love was baking. A good book is the best escape. I have a soft spot for old Saabs. Bicycle is my favorite mode of transportation. I was raised in a remote off-grid, one-room cabin. Life is about balance, friendship, food and play.
